今回は免疫についてです。
実はアスリートは感染しやすく、風邪の頻度が一般人より3倍高いそうです。
理由:
①いろいろな環境ストレスを受けることが多く、また運動中には皮膚・粘膜への血液循環が抑制されるためバリア機能が低下して病原体が侵入しやすくなる。
②呼吸が増し、微生物が気道に侵入しやすくなる。
③運動中は気道粘膜が乾燥・冷却され、鼻水・痰の粘度が増し線毛運動も低下し病原体を排除しにくくなる。
対策:
手洗い、マスク、加湿器の使用、栄養・休養
乳酸菌がいいそうですよ。
試合に出場される方々は注意しましょう!

Did you know that athletes are more prone to infections? In fact, they catch colds three times more often than the general population.
Reasons:
1. Athletes are often exposed to various environmental stresses, and during exercise, blood circulation to the skin and mucous membranes is suppressed. This weakens their barrier function, making it easier for pathogens to enter.
2. Increased breathing allows more microorganisms to invade the respiratory tract.
3. During exercise, the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract become dry and cool. This increases the viscosity of nasal mucus and phlegm, reduces ciliary movement, and makes it harder to expel pathogens.
Countermeasures:
Handwashing, wearing masks, using humidifiers, proper nutrition, and rest.
Probiotics (lactic acid bacteria) are also said to be beneficial!
